Scholarship Updates:
The scholarships provided by the NBMC MUSICIANS UNITED FOR CHANGE events have positively impacted the lives of these worthy young people. Thanks to your generosity and partnership, we will continue to stay the course and nurture them, give assistance based on GPA performance, educational material purchase assistance, as well as individual mentoring.
Here are a few highlights:
1. Our first scholarship recipients from MUSICIANS UNITED FOR CHANGE LOS ANGELES event by way of THE FERNANDO PULLUM COMMUNITY ARTS CENTER:
- CHRIS ADENISI (saxophone) Berklee $1k
- IAN MACKLIN SIMS (piano) Berklee $1k
- MICAH HEARD (drums) Berklee $1k
These students are all enrolled in BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC and thriving!
Ian is currently prepping for his 1st piano recital . We will continue to monitor their progress and offer financial education, in addition to subsequent financial support as the cost of higher education rises for books, living expenses, etc.
2. Our second scholarship recipients from MUSICIANS UNITED FOR CHANGE
ATLANTA event, by way of, executive board member, RIC ROSS from MEG (MUSIC EDUCATION GROUP), in cooperation with DR. SARA WOMACK (NBCT) at ATLANTAPUBLIC SCHOOLS.
