World Renowned Drummer • Grammy Winner
Hailing from a family of musicians in Dallas, Texas, Searight came up alongside artists like Erykah Badu, Norah Jones, and Roy Hargrove at the world-famous Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts.
He won a Grammy Award at age 18 with his own group, God’s Property, who changed the face of Gospel music with their debut album.
Known to the creative community as “Sput,” the producer, composer, arranger, and CEO has worked with vast array of artists such as GhostNote, Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, Erykah Badu, Justin Timberlake, Snarky Puppy, Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Nicholas Payton, Kirk Franklin, Shaun Martin, Terrace Martin, Kamasi Washington, Cory Henry, Bill Laurance, and Juston Stanton.
