Queen Cora Coleman is an author, music and film producer, business owner, and internationally acclaimed drummer, hailing from Houston, Texas.
Highlights of her 17-year drumming career include international pop icons, Prince, Beyoncé and Zucchero.
Queen Cora made NFL history as the only drummer to have performed in two of the NFLs Top 10 Super Bowl Half-time Shows XLI and XLVII with both Prince and Beyoncé.
She has performed in over 40 countries, countless television shows, documentaries and has recorded on a host of albums. Among notable appearances, Queen Cora has been the house drummer for the acclaimed Black Girls Rock Awards since the 2010 debut on the BET Network.
After graduating valedictorian of Kashmere High School in Houston, Queen Cora went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. While serving as Keynote Speaker for Howard’s College of Fine Arts Commencement in 2017, Queen Cora was honored with Howard University’s prestigious Blue Flame Distinguished Alumni Award.
She has authored three youth empowerment books: GAGU, Who Am I? and Who Am I? The Journey Journal. An active entrepreneur, Queen Cora is the Founder & CEO of The VIVO Club, Inc., shipping container construction company Building Simple, Inc., and is the leader/drummer of The Queen Cora Orchestra. She resides in Houston, Texas and Los Angeles, California.
